Hello,
I received short term disability payments for a couple of weeks in 2020 from my employer. The wages are included on my W-2, but only FICA taxes were taken out, no Federal, State or Local taxes were paid. These wages are taxable income, right? If so, where on the 1040 do I show this and how do I calculate the taxes I owe?
Thanks,
Debbie
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
The short-term disability will be added with your other income to determine the tax due. Any withholding you had from wages and/or deductions and credits will be deducted so your final amount due or a refund will be determined when you finish entering all your tax information.
Thanks!
