When I elected section 179 deduction, the number that system calculated is the bonus depreciation amount. When I entered the amount that I would like to deduct in the following screen, it didn't allow me to take the deduction. Looks like it capped at the bonus depreciation amount. Anyone has the similar situation? If so, how to fix this?
Thanks!

what type of asset - useful life - new or used. certain assets may not qualify for 179 but do for bonus. if you want to check look at PUB 946

does it matter? 179 is limited by net business income before the deduction. this limitation does not apply to bonus.
We have a commercial rental property that installed a new AC unit. The depreciation life is 39 years. Since the Unit was placed in service in the mid of year, the bonus depreciation will only be few hundreds. Section 179 should allow me to take the depreciation up to the net income, but Turbo tax keeps calculated as this bonus depreciation number.
