Residential Energy Credit imposing lifetime limit - should not be for 2023

Hopefully this gets to TurboTax Staff

In desktop version, Residential Energy Credit is generating $0 for 2023 qualified improvements, due to $500 lifetime limit calculated from credits I claimed in 2011 and 2013.

Per IRS instructions, for in-service dates of 2023-2033, annual limits apply, but no lifetime limits.   This needs to be addressed in the software.

That is helpful, thank you.

Form in program does not contain the usual "Not Final" watermark, nor does it list among the forms not yet final box on the Smart Check tab of the program.   Either one of those clues would have been helpful.

Thank you for the link to the online resource.

If you are using the TurboTax desktop CD/Download editions, if you click on Forms then open the Form 5695 it will have the DO NOT FILE indicator at the top of the form.

Also, FYI, if you run the Federal Review, it will tell you that you have a problem with any form that is not yet final.
