My e-return was rejected because of a problem with form 5695. The error code from turbotax states that an address must be entered if checking "yes" for energy property tax expenditures. I checked "yes" line 21a and 21 b regarding energy property expenditures, but when asked to enter my address, the form is grey and no address can be entered. I'm using the desktop Mac version.

If you go directly to the form, can you enter anything in Section B of the Form 5695? I was able to tab through each of the fields and the PDF matches my entry with no errors.
Go back into the interview section and click on Deductions and Credits>>home Energy Credits which is under Your Home. Walk through those steps to you get to the screen that says Lets Make Sure We Have The Right Address for Your Home. Enter the address of the home where you installed your energy property.
Vanessa thanks. That ALMOST worked. I did choose "no" under "is this the correct address" and typed in my address. However when reviewing the final pdf of my return before e-filing again, only the first 2 numbers of my "number and street" show up, not the whole number and street. I was able to enter the city, state and zip, but not the entire street number or street name.

Thanks Dawn! It's my first year using turbotax. I did not realize I could just enter missing information directly on the forms :). Hopefully it will go through this time.
It should go through error free. Another tip - if you go into Forms Mode, you will see the list of all the forms in your return. If any of those forms have red exclamation points (!) next to them, there are errors that will prevent a successful e-file. So, before you submit your returns, check that there are no errors, and you should be good to go. When I put the checkmarks next to ''YES'', the error showed until I entered the address. And thanks for choosing TurboTax this year!
I have the same problem and have followed your advice.I was rejected a second time.
Finally accepted. I deleted the 5695 form, and redid it.
I’m sure there was a typo or extra space or something in the data, not visible in either forms view or EasyStep.
