I have an amount entered in the medical expenses worksheet on line 2e. It is NOT marked estimated. However, Federal review insists that it is. How do I fix?

At this point, I would delete all medical expenses and then delete the medical expense worksheet in the forms mode of your software if it is still there. Then reenter your medical expense in the step by step portion of your return to get a clean copy of your medical expense worksheet.
Dave,
Appreciate your suggestion. However, I tried your proposed fix. It did not work. Moreover, it introduced more issues. Now the Federal review insists that I have an improperly completed K-1 (Partnerships) worksheet. First, I don't have any business partnerships. Second, the K-1 worksheet does not appear in the forms list when I go to forms view. Additionally, the review insists that I have an illegal number in the charitable donations box (viz $300 vs $600); when I insert $600 the review is happy. However, I cannot trace the source of the error. I have sufficient charitable donations listed in the appropriate section, and this is clearly identified as a joint return with standard deduction so it should default to $600 vice $300.
I'm beginning to feel that my only recourse is to reinstall Turbotax and restart the whole return.
Reinstalling TurboTax may resolve your K-1 issues. It is strange that you would receive a K-1 error, but have no K-1 Worksheet in your return.
As far as the 300/600 issue for Charitable Contributions; here's a workaround you can try:
This will correct the issue and allow you to continue with your tax return. Click this link for info on how to Contact TurboTax Help if you cannot resolve this.
