I've inputted the full amounts for Personal Property, Real Estate, State and Local taxes on the Turbotax Dlx but it did not deduct the full amount. We're filing as married jointly in VA and I don't understand why it doesn't fully deduct the amount? Thank you.

. Deductions for state and local sales tax (SALT), income, and property taxes can be itemized on Schedule A. The total amount you are claiming for state and local sales, income, and property taxes cannot exceed $10,000.
From my total calculation of the 3 taxes it did not add up to $10000, its short by $100 or so. Does it automatically calculate the percentage to deduct from each taxes?
No. It is the total amount that can’t exceed $10,000.
