I have a vacation home that I rent for "the season" and we use it more than 14 days off season. TurboTax does a great job allocating the expenses between business and personal use, but the $46 of "12b. Mort int other" doesn't get properly carried over to Schedule A. I see the amount from "12a Mort int qualified" getting carried over but not the amount from 12b, which is a calculation of points since they are not part of the issued Form 1098 from the mortgage holder.
How do I get that to flow to Schedule A?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
Do you have a sufficient amount of Schedule A deductions?
TurboTax won't create a Schedule A unless the total amount exceeds the standard deduction.
Yes, that isn't the issue. There is way more in itemized deduction than the standard deduction.
As I said: "I see the amount from "12a Mort int qualified" getting carried over but not the amount from 12b, ..."
Schedule A exists, it has many transferred number, just not this one.
