Yes it can ... but at 14 cents a mile it will not add up to much.

A. Maybe. If that was the only purpose of the trip, then yes. If the drop off was incidental to other purposes, e.,g. shopping, then no.
It's only deductible as an itemized deduction. It is not eligible for the $300 "above the line" (line 10b of form 1040) deduction. That is only for cash deductions.
