I have noted that there are several complaints about lack of the simple (very simple) feature. When is Intuit going to do something about it?

In the downloaded version ... when you are on the charity list simply click on the column heading "charity name" to sort them ...
Same question for the Mac version. The solution given does not work for the Mac as there is no "Charity name" heading. Not being able to sort is a royal pain in being sure everything is complete and correct.
Nobody's going to do anything about it.
Hint 1: Switch to "forms mode" where the charities are alphabetized!
Hint 2: Fill out a charity marked "AA Misc", then in forms mode simply type the dates and amounts for all cash contributions. They're summarized in a single line for the IRS anyway, so the per-charity detail can be kept for your records elsewhere.
Forms mode can found under the "View" menu.
