I am asked to check a box for Disaster Tax Relief but keep getting sent back even after doing so. Is this a bug or am I not able to file yet?

It does mention I am not able to file yet due to disaster tax relief laws. If this is the reason then how would I know when I would be able to file?

DaveF1006,

i have submitted for disaster relief.  gave dates, area, description, and DR.  rejected by CA 3 times.   Trying to fix, Turbo Tax will only let me enter the DR-#### (but not the "-TX)  CA wants the full number and Turbo Tx only allots 7 spaces...... ideas on where to go and what more to change, add, delete or just mail the dang thing and thank CA n Turbo Tax for a great experience again... ???

The IRS recently made a change to Form 8915 regarding disaster distributions to include qualified events from 2021.

You can track the availability of Form 8915 with this link:
