What is your question about home improvements on the sale of a second home?  Please clarify.

 

In TurboTax Online, report the sale of a second home by following these steps:

 

  1. Click on the search magnifying glass in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
  2. Enter 'sale of second home'.
  3. Click on 'Jump to sale of second home'.
  4. At the screen Let's finish pulling in your investment income, click Add investments.
  5. At the screen Let's import your tax info. select Enter a different way.
  6. At the screen OK, let's start with one investment type, select Other, land, second home, personal item.  Click Continue.
  7. Follow the screens to report the sale.
