Is the cost of dental insurance deductible somewhere? If so, where?

Yes if you itemize deductions.
Enter Medical under
Federal (Personal for HB)
Deductions and Credits
Then scroll way down to Medical
Then Medical Expenses - click Start or Update
You can only deduct the amount of unreimbursed Medical Expenses you actually paid over 7.5% of your AGI. And then all your itemized deductions have to be more than the standard deduction to get any benefit (so you would only be getting the benefit of the amount that puts you over the standard deduction). And since the Standard Deduction is increased more people will not need to Itemize.
For 2022 the standard deduction amounts are:
Single 12,950 + 1,750 or 65 and over or blind (14,700)
HOH 19,400 + 1,750 for 65 and over or blind
Joint 25,900 + 1,400 for each 65 and over or blind
Married filing Separate 12,950 + 1,400 for 65 and over or blind
Is the answer yes, I can deduct dental insurance (subject to limits)? If so, where do I put them in TT?
Didn't you see my post above? Yes you can enter dental ins unless it comes out of your paychecks pretax.
I pay my own dental insurance through the Exchange. Where do I deduct it? Under medical insurance? Somewhere else?

To enter your medical expenses -
Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Deductions and Credits
Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
Scroll down to Medical
On Medical Expenses, click the start or update button
Or enter medical expenses in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to medical expenses
Under which category of Medical Expenses does Dental Insurance get entered?
