Clean Energy Credit for Heat Pumps

For 2023 Heat Pumps get a 30% credit, up to a maximum of $2,000.  Is it possible to get the credit twice if you  have two separate and independent heat pump systems on the same house, for a maximum of $4,000?

Clean Energy Credit for Heat Pumps

The instructions for Form 5695 do not show a limiting factor for the number of heat pumps but the $2,000 is a limiting factor. Doing one each year would have been a way to qualify each unit - something to think about with doors, windows, etc. A few each year yields more credit and is recommended by the IRS.
