Claiming 2 Houses, Married Filing Separately

My second marriage. My wife has a house in NY in her name only and I have a Condo in FL in my name only. I plan on filing Married Filing Separately. We can claim both residences without an issue, correct?

Yes, you will both need to itemize your deductions on your MFS tax returns. Then you can claim the expenses such as mortgage interest and property taxes on your separate returns.  If one spouse itemizes their deduction, the other cannot claim the standard deduction.
