"based on information provided, you do not have a property tax refund for 2021" that seems unrealistic... No property tax statemet yet, either

My aunt should get around $1000 refund... Why does it say that here?

Could you possibly clarify your question, please?

  • What state are you referring to?
  • What is the exact text of the message that you’re seeing?
  • Are you entering a specific form?
  • Are you trying to claim this credit or deduction without an essential statement that would be sent to your aunt?
  • What credit or deduction is this?

Any additional detail would be helpful.

Yes, Minnesota does provide a "Property Tax Refund" based on income and property tax amount.

If "No property tax statemet yet, either" means you haven't entered the property taxes paid, the program won't compute a credit.

If you enter the property taxes paid, and the income allows, a refund should be generated.
