Average mortgage on home is less than 750,000, yet when I select NO, it's automatically selecting yes.

CAn you help me?

I have an average mortgage balance of 742,000 on my main home for the year and I"m attempting to select NO (that is it is not any of the above...above 1 million or above 750,000) yet after I select NO it's automatically selecting yes...is this a glitch?  what other values or inputs is it taking that it won't let me select NO?  Please help.

Thanks.

I am sorry, we do not have access to your TurboTax account here on the Community Board.  I tried duplicating the problem you are having and could not.  Did you refinance your loan during the year?  If so, please pay attention to these questions while entering your 1098's:

    1.  Was this loan paid off or refinance with a different lender in 2019?

    2.  Is this loan secured by a property of yours?

    3.  Is this loan a home equity line of credit or a loan you've ever refinanced?

Make sure these questions are answered correctly.  Hopefully, that fixes your problem!

I am having the same issue.  I select No,  changes my taxes due, click continue and it switches back you yes automatically.

Select "Yes" and then on the next screen you can adjust and take the full amount of interest if you really are not limited.
