It worked! Thank you.
You're welcome
I thought what I had was a 1095-A, but it was actually the 1095-C, so I had already clicked yes that I had one and now it won’t let me go back and change that. How can I fix this?
You can change your answer to that question if you have not filed yet. Search for ACA and use the Jump to ACA link to go back to that section. You'll want to go back there, answer Yes again so that you can see the form to delete it. Then you'll return and answer No.
how to eliminate form 1095 A, no required
HOW TO ELIMINATE FORM 1095-A, NOT REQUIRED
To delete your Form 1095-A information in TurboTax Online, open your return in TurboTax and:
Select Pick up where I left off, if that’s on the screen
In the menu on the left, select Tax Tools, then Tools.
In the Tool Center pop-up, select Delete a form.
Select Delete next to Form 1095-A in the list and follow the onscreen instructions.
Bear in mind that Form 1095-A should include information for everybody on your return who was enrolled in a Marketplace plan during the tax year.
If you received Form 1095-A, you need to enter this form on your return. You won't be able to take the Premium Tax Credit without it.
I didn't receive a 1095-A because my wife and I are on Medicare and buy a supplemental insurance. I did receive a 1095-B for my grand daughter who lives with me and is on Medicaid CHIP program. Turbo Tax won't let me move past it. My taxes keep getting rejected by the IRS because of it. I don't know how to fix this issue. Please help!!!
You don't need to enter a 1095-B in TurboTax.
If anyone on your return had a 1095-A last year, and you used TurboTax, the program may be looking for a 1095-A entry.
If you received Error Code F8962-070, here's a workaround to try:
"There was an update with available information on Error Code F8962-070 today. The IRS is rejecting returns with this code because they believe you or someone on your return had insurance through the marketplace. If you or anyone in your tax household had Marketplace insurance last year, you may still just be on their list.
You can try to enter $1 for the 1095. This will not affect anything on your return, but having the form there may get the IRS to accept your return. To do this take the following steps:
If this does not apply to you, please clarify the Error Message you receive and we'll try to help.
How remove 1095 a not needed
If anyone in your household had a Marketplace plan in 2021, you'll need Form 1095-A, Health Insurance Marketplace Statement, to file your federal taxes.
If that does not apply to you, revisit the Medical Section to remove that form:
Regarding 1095B noted in this question and answer. This answer does not address how after one proceeds as answerer noted, that one is later brought back to the Schedule C worksheet and forced to enter an invalid entry simply to proceed further.
To clarify, would you state your answer a little more clearly?
