Question about Education expenses and scholarships, software bug?

I have used TurboTax for the last fifteen years. This year after importing from last year return and completing the Federal tax return form, I went over one more time to check the numbers and found one thing very strange. The tuition for my son's college in 2019 is $35708, the turbotax shows in 2018 is only $5906. I know the tuition in 2018 is much more than $5906. I thought I made a mistake in 2018 return. I opened the 2018 return in TurboTax 2018 and found the number entered is $35439. I searched the total pdf forms generated from TurboTax 2018 and cannot find either 35439 or 5906. My question is how my 2018 education cost was changed in TurboTax 2018 from $35439 to $5906. Is it a software bug? Please help!

I found the pdf form by searching 5,906 instead of 5906 and understand the issue now. Thanks.
