Private, general education school for preschool special needs kid

My son has ASD and ADHD and attends a private, general education preschool. At school, he receives individual special education teacher support, which is paid for by the board of education, not by the private school. Can I deduct tuition for this school?

Since the education is paid for by the government, then you cannot take a deduction for it.

Expenses you have for treatment of a medical condition would be allowable as a medical expense deduction, but you would have to pay for the treatment. Also, you would need to be able to itemize your deductions and your medical expenses would have to be more than 7.5 percent of your income to be deductible.
