Passive Activity Loss carryover

@Lily Yu I am not knowledgeable enough on 1031 exchanges to provide any useful information. I'm sure others reading this thread will see it, and be able to help.

Passive Activity Loss carryover

Do I need to enter manually for 2022 also?  2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 loses are accumulating.

Passive Activity Loss carryover

You need to at least verify if TurboTax has rolled the total forward or not when you loaded 2021 and started your 2022 returns.  You can review/enter the information in TurboTax Online by following these steps:

  1. Sign in to your TurboTax
  2. Open or continue  your return
    • Choose a section from the TurboTax menu and select Pick up where you left off
  3. Using the search bar, type K-1 and select the Jump to link from the search results
    • Note: If the Jump to link doesn’t work, select the Federal tab, then under S-corps, Partnerships, and Trusts, select Wages & Income
    • Select Revisit or Start next to Schedule K-1
  4. Answer Yes to Do you want to review Schedules K-1 or Q? and follow the prompts
  5. Continue through the questions until you get to the Describe the Partnership screen and make sure you have marked I have passive losses carrying over from 2021
  6. Enter/confirm your passive losses for regular and AMT tax for the total that rolled over from 2021 (it's a cumulative number)
