I am wondering why the Other Child Dependent Credit of $500 isn’t listed on the 1040 worksheet that was filed with the IRS.
It is listed throughout the worksheet but on line 14 This is your child tax credit and credit for other dependents there is a 0.
My child lives with me full time, is a full time student and is fully supported by me. This is my first year filing with a dependent aged 17, so I assumed my refund would be a lot smaller, but it appears that I qualified for this credit and it did not apply to my filed worksheet.
I went through numerous times and made sure all of the info was correct before I submitted it.
Could there have been an error within the process? I cannot access the questionnaires used to determine my filing statuses to see if something defaulted. Would this happen if the does the dependent support themselves 50% or more of the year was chosen? It’s the only error I can think of.
Is there a way for me to access any of the info that was computed within the system?
Can anyone help answer this question.
I have already filed.

Make sure you have entered your child as a dependent in My Info, and that you have entered the child's Social Security number. Careful— do not say that your child’s SSN is not valid for employment. If your child was born in 2024 make sure you said he lived with you the whole year. There is an oddly worded question that asks if the child paid over half their own support. Say NO to that question.
