I ordered a Chevy Bolt in June 22 and purchased it on 9-30-22. I plugged it into the software but it does not show any type of credit. I have looked at the rules and I should qualify. I'm not sure if the software is messed up or I have done something wrong. I have double checked for updates and it looks to be up to date. The software keeps telling me Chevy does not qualify for this credit??? I know it does not for the old credit but it should qualify for the new/updated one.

The vehicle is not eligible for an EV Credit for tax year 2022.
Go to this website for eligible vehicles - https://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/taxevb.shtml
see this page. Chevy may have already gone over the 200,000 sales cap for for te BOLT so yours won't qualify
https://afdc.energy.gov/laws/electric-vehicles-for-tax-credit#/tab-2022
another limitation is your tax liability. if available, it can reduce it to zero but any excess is lost.
you may want to contact the dealer or GM.
Actually I finally found the answer to my own question. "The 200,000-vehicle cap isn’t lifted until 2023. So Tesla and GM vehicles aren’t eligible again until the 2023 tax year—on purchases made from January 2023 on. A Tesla Model 3 bought today is not eligible for the credit, for instance."

So because I purchased it in 2022 its not eligible for the new rules set into place.
