Hi,
Purchased a house at end of Feb 2024.
My 1098 does not include anything in Box 10 which I believe is the box that the property tax payments go.
I have been making prop tax payments via escrow as part of my monthly mortgage payments.
Question is where I can deduct the escrow payments on my 2024 tax return.
The form I got from the lender has a reference called Distribution from escrow - presume this is the number I can use.
thanks

You can't deduct the payments to your escrow account for property taxes until the actual property tax bill is paid. You can look on your closing statement for the house purchase to see if you paid any property tax then and if so you can enter that amount in TurboTax.
correct - Distribution from escrow is the amount to use.
plus any tax paid by buyer at closing.
