New business laptop using spouses CC

If I use my husband's credit card to make a purchase, can I write it off as a business expense in my own name?

Using their CC will make the purchase much cheaper, but I'm just wondering how I can properly record this?

I am sole proprietor and need to buy a new business laptop.

It would probably be the best practice if you simply reimbursed him out of your business account.

Yes, you can, but you will want to keep very accurate and detailed records.  It’s not required to have separate accounts but it is often very useful.

For a better paper trail, your husband (not you) buys the laptop. Then your business (again, not you) purchases the laptop from your husband and that's how you show it in your business records. I'm not sure if this would require you to issue a 1099-MISC to your husband or not (if over $600) since your husband is considered an individual, and not a corporation. I would think not, as this would create yet another can of worms on the tax front.
