need to amend a return for for 2021

I made a mistake on a my 2021 tax return.  I did not know that I had started to receive rent from inherited rental property overseas.  Lack of communication with Executors.  Rent payments started in Sept 2021-  With allowed property depreciation - I will not end up paying any tax - should I fix up the 2021 return before I submit my 2022 - as the date I will need to use for depreciation of property will be Sept 2021 and and it might be a red flag as I have not mentioned on 2021 return.

I filed 2021 taxes with H and R block - can I transfer it into Turbo Tax ?

Do I Redo the whole return or just the missing parts?

You can actually prepare 2022 with the information you have available.  When you prepare the Amended 2021 use the same information except that 2022 will be rented 12 months.

In order to use TurboTax to amend your return that was initially prepared by H&R Block, you need to purchase the 2021 desktop software for 2021 and re-create the return EXACTLY as it appeared when it was filed with the IRS/states.  Every line has to be the same.  Then you have to "trick" the software into thinking you filed by saying you will mail the return. (but do not mail it)   AFTER that, you use the software to prepare a Form 1040X, which has to be printed, signed and mailed to the IRS.  It takes the IRS about 6+  months to process an amended return
