My mortgage was sold to another lender and I have 1098 forms from 2 lenders. How do I enter the second one

I found out the hard way how this needs to be done to work. It was MASSIVELY FRUSTRATING dealing with Turbotax...until I got lucky and found Sandra in support.

Chris is correct...Turbotax mishandles the way to apply multiple 1098's...like when a mortgage company sells your mortgage. We had 3 so turbotax trippled what it thought we owed on our home. So then it forced the standard deduction. It was a mess.

After multiple calls, we were told "Yes, this is a known issue, TT is buggy around this, and all you need to do is create one 1098 submission, combining all three 1098s"

HOURS of my life wasted to find this simple solution. TT is a joke for not recognizing this as an issue. If it can't be fixed, then at least train your service reps to understand that it's not user error.

Seems to be the exact same problem I am running into with TurboTax 2023....OMG.

You shouldn't be having the issues discussed in this thread with Turbo Tax for 2023. Please provide info on your situation and I will try to help.
