Yes. She does qualify. You select that the child has lived with you the whole year when asked the question.

As long as your child is born before midnight on 12/31 of the filing year, you are eligible for the child tax credit and depending on your income amount additional child tax credit. Same thing if you get married. As long as its prior to 12:00am 12/31 you can file as married filing jointly.
