Mortgage interest deduction too low

Every time I review my tax return TurboTax says that my deductible mortgage interest is too small. There is no place to add anything but a red box on item 12 says -1. I’ve entered the amount of mortgage interest directly from my 1098. Every time I try to edible my returns it returns to this screen. How can I get out of this loop? Please help me. Thank you very much.

Did you get Form 1098 and try entering via step-by-step?

Can you ignore the error and e-file?

Are you itemizing deductions or taking the Standard Deduction? (in which case the mortgage interest won't matter)
