My interest deduction is not showing up on my tax return (shows up on worksheet as a deduction)
I have around $7500 mortgage interest related to a refinanced loan that i took out in 2015 for 250k. the loan is secured by the home and i received a 1098 from my bank with this information. I itemize my deductions and without the interest deduction, i am already at $16k and well beyond the standard deduction for filing as a single.
I've entered the amount, origination date, original amount, refinance, no - money was used only for the house (no other purpose), and secured by home. No points. No Mortgage Insurance. Please Help Me!!! Thanks in advance
