Mortgage interest deduction deceased taxpayer

My husband died in 2015 and I sold our home in 2016.  The Mortgage Interest statement has my deceased husbands SS # on it, but I was also on the loan.  I should be able to use that interest expense, but worried that his SS # is on the form and not mine.

You can still use the 1098 and report the interest.

There is a screen in the TurboTax program where you can report that the 1098 is reported in a different Social Security number and you will have to enter his name and your address on that screen to proceed.
