Mortgage Interest Credit Certificate

In "Deductions" I accounted for mortgage interest as reported on Form 1098; however, TurboTax  shows that I am required to provide a Mortgage Interest Certificate which doesn't apply.  Even though I indicate that the certificate does not apply, I cannot remove the duplicate amount from the calculations.

You can try deleting the form and then re-enter the information. Some states may require a mortgage interest credit certificate in order to take mortgage or home-related deductions or credits.

1. Under Tax Tools, choose Tools
2. Choose Delete a Form
3. Scroll through your return until you find Form 1098 or Mortgage Interest Worksheet, click Delete to the right of the form
4. Confirm that you wish to delete the form
5. Re-enter the information under Deductions & Credits if necessary
