My child was a sophomore in college and is a dependent in my tax return. But the 8863 form is missing from my tax return this year and there is no way for me to claim the American opportunity tax credit (AOTC) . I entered the 1098-T form and related questions correctly in Education part of Deduction and Credit section. I am using Turbtax deluxe windows version.
I checked MAGI and other information and qualified for AOTC.
By the way, I claimed AOTC successfully last year(2021) for my child. I s there any change to 8863 form in 2022?
Thanks a lot for your help in advance.

No, no major changes to Form 8863 or the Education Credits for Tax Year 2023.
To clarify,
What are the amounts in Box 1 and Box 5 on the 1098-T?
Did you take any distributions from a 529 savings account?
Q: What are the amounts in Box 1 and Box 5 on the 1098-T?
A: Box 1 is $11,290, Box 5 is 13,098. To exclude this situation, if I change Box 5 to 6,000 or even enter a 0, TurboTax did not claim AOTC either.
Q: Did you take any distributions from a 529 savings account?
A: No
Problem solved. I play around with the number of Box5 in 1098-T and this time the education credit changed. To claim education credit, the number in Box5 - part of amount in Box5 which is used for room and board < amount in Box1.
Just for someone have the same problem, if the education credit not claimed and you think it should, try restart the TurboTax or run maximize the return. It did not work for me initially after following Kris's suggestion.
Thanks KrisD15, excellent advice!
Have a wonderful day!
