MFS with DCFSA

filing MFS and contributed 2500 to my DCFSA. Both parents work. Last year i noticed the 2500 got back added to my taxable dependent care benefits from form 2441 line 26 but i feel like it shouldn’t. How do i go about not making this again for this years tax? Thank you!

MFS with DCFSA

When filing MFS, only one parent can claim the child as a dependent, and only that parent can have a DCFSA (limit of $2500).  How many children do you have and did you claim the child who received care as a dependent last year?  What are your qualified expenses on line 16 of form 2441?
