We hit our out of pocket max of $7k in 2019 but we don't know how much went to perscriptions and how much went to doctors. Can we deduct any of this if we don't know that information?
Thanks.

You can give it a reasonable estimate. i don't think the IRS is going to knock down your doors because you allocated incorrectly. The important thing is to report these out of pocket expenses and as long as you have a receipt for this gross amount on the statement, it doesn't matter if the allocation between the doctors and pharmacists are correct.

Thank you for your timely response. I can find out online through our insurance what the costs were throughout last year. Does that work?
That should work fine.
