MARRIED FILING JOINTLY

Got married in 2019. Both Spouses work and show income.  Trying to file as MFJ after first doing a trial run-through with MFS.  Turbo Tax reflects the full $25,700 MFJ deduction on each return, for a total deduction of $51,400.  Can't be right.

MARRIED FILING JOINTLY

What  do you mean on EACH return ?   If you did a MFS for each spouse  and then changed to MFJ for each spouse you did this wrong ... you will only file ONE joint return that includes all the income and expenses for both parties on one tax form.  Pick one file to complete for filing jointly and efile only one return.
