Other than sales tax, none of these MA registration fees are eligible for a deduction. Your annual MA auto excise tax could be deducted as a Personal Property Tax. But as noted, new limits due to Tax Reform may make it a non-issue.
This is for a regular passenger car registered in MA. From the DMV.....
You may be able to take an itemized deduction on Schedule A for any tax related portion of the registration fee. To be deductible, the tax portion must be based on the value of the vehicle and be charged on a yearly basis.
But I would not worry about this too much since the SALT restrictions in this section is capped at $10K .. so if your RE taxes and state taxes already exceed that amount just skip this item.
