Last year Car Registration had a deduction, but not this year

Doing 2020 taxes.

Finished "Deductions and Credits" and it shows last year in 2019 I had Standard Deduction + Vehicle Registration Fee as a non-zero value.

And for 2020 column, it shows again Standard Dedcution, but Vehicle Registration Fee as $0.

Looking into it, I see where it says you have to Itemize Deductions to have Vehicle Registration Fee count, but I did NOT Itemize last year.

What changed?

I'm in NC

How do I get this deduction/credit counted in 2020?

Nothing has changed other than the appearance on the form.  The registration fee deduction has consistently been tied to the Itemized deduction requirement.

You can either apply the Standard Deduction, or the value of the Itemized Deduction.  If the Itemized Deduction is larger than the Standard, TurboTax will automatically apply it.

If you qualified for the Itemized deduction last year it would explain why it was listed.
