Is we paid back money from my 2016 taxes, can you deduct that one your tax return? I saw that option in the state deductions

Unfortunately, federal taxes paid for any tax year -- including as a result of an audit -- cannot be deducted on a federal return.  If your state has a deduction for federal taxes paid, that will be covered in TurboTax's state interview.
