Is a shed considered a major purchase, or substantial home addition for sales tax deduction purposes?
We built a 200 sq ft shed in the backyard, it cost more than 7K, i.e. fairly significant from a sales tax point of view. Can I report it as a big-ticket item for sales tax deduction?

Yes, you can. Was sales tax paid on all of it? You can only claim the actual sales tax paid.
