Is 2021 the correct year for the one time tax rebate?

I'm using Turbo Tax Deluxe with one state (Minnesota) the question on the form is "Did we receive a one time tax rebate for tax year 2021 from the state of Minnesota." That one time tax rebate was in 2023, filed in 2024 and is on my 2023 return as such.

Good question, I hadn't noticed that yet.

If I had to guess, the state issued or re-issued some that were missed when they were originally sent out in 2023, so a few people may have not received it until 2024.

If I am understanding your question correctly, yes.

The Minnesota Direct Tax Rebate was received in 2023 (the 2023 tax return was filed in 2024).  That rebate was based on your 2021 Minnesota tax return.

Correct, and I included it when I filed in 2024. The question is, why is it still included in the Minnesota tax form for the 2024 tax year (File in 2025).

Makes sense. That should be clarified in the instructions. I don't know how to pass this information on to TuboTax.  Can you do that for me? MUCH Appreciated!!
