I SHOW A $7000 CONTRIBUTION FOR A TRDITIONAL IRA AND TURBO TAX ONLY SHIWS TAX SAVINGS ON $1169. WHY?

You do not get a dollar for dollar reduction of tax. The contribution lowers your taxable income which lowers your tax. Your tax can't be lowered more than zero.

My IRA RMD was downloaded my IRA accounts by Turbo Tax but was incorrectly overstated. I didn't catch it until after filed. Caused me $541 extra Fed tax.
