I am filing a return for my dad who passed away in August, he is due a refund there was a will but no estate - how do I claim the refund ?

There is a will with named beneficiaries but there was no need for an estate

If the decedent is due a refund of any individual income tax (Form 1040), you may claim that refund using IRS Form 1310, Statement of a Person Claiming Refund Due a Deceased Taxpayer.
