Yes, when you report itemized deductions, you have a choice of reporting the state income tax withheld, or the state sales tax. If you choose to do the sales tax, the IRS has a table that you can use to find the amount to enter (included in the TurboTax software), and you may ALSO include sales tax from and "Big Ticket Items" you may have purchased.
