I purchased my moms house last year. She is still living there and does not pay rent. I paid the property taxes. Can i claim those taxes paid?

Yes, since you own the home.

You may claim real estate taxes on any property you own.  The deduction is not limited to your home.

The mortgage interest deduction is limited to your primary home plus one 2nd home.  A home that you own and let a relative live in counts as a 2nd home.
