I have an HRA but pay my premiums with my salary, is that still a deduction?

No. A Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) is funded solely by your employer, so there is no tax deduction for the employee. If you have salary deductions, you are probably paying health insurance premiums or contributing to a Health Savings Account (HSA). These payments are generally made with pre-tax dollars, so you cannot take a deduction for them on your tax return. Please see the FAQs below for more information.
