I don’t know the relief code and my area wasn’t deemed a disaster area even though I sustained damage during hurricane Irma. Please help??

Can I change the status on my filing to not file for that portion

If you were not in a federally declared disaster area, unfortunately you cannot claim a casualty loss from the hurricane. You should delete what you entered for a casualty loss.

I didn’t enter anything, but when reviewing my filing it keeps wanting to go back to that area do I just need to file by mail rather than e-file it?

You must have indicated early in the program that you were affected by a federally declared disaster. Try going through your Personal Info section again to see if that question is there and answered incorrectly.
