I am helping my daughter with her taxes...per turbotax under "Tell us about any advance Child Tax Credits payments" section there is a link that says "What if I don't have Letter 6419" ... she did not receive a letter. So, I clicked on this link, which then recommends using the 6419 Letter to unsure you're entering the right amount. It says that you can use the IRS Child Tax Credit Update Portal, which we did, to obtain the total payment amount. BUT, then it has "STOP!!! If you're using the portal, check our FAQ before entering your info in TurboTax. There are different ways to enter your payment info depending on your situation".
I cannot find anything under the FAQ's, maybe I am searching wrong, so any guidance is very much appreciated.
Thank you.

You do not need to stop if you know the amount of advance child tax credit (ACTC) your daughter received. Enter the total as if you did receive the letter from the IRS. Then continue with the tax return and your daughter will receive any amount she is still entitled to (usually the other half since only half was released in advance).
The IRS is getting letters out very late and I know of one case where a letter was received just this week. You should not be afraid to proceed with the tax return. TurboTax wanted to give warning to eliminate wait times for errors due to this special situation for 2021.
Keep in mind that you did check the IRS Portal which is as good as a letter.
