No, the sale (or transfer) of a personal residence would not qualify for any tax loss treatment. Also, transfers of property in a divorce settlement would not qualify for any tax deductions.

No, the sale (or transfer) of a personal residence would not qualify for any tax loss treatment. Also, transfers of property in a divorce settlement would not qualify for any tax deductions.
