Hello,
I was a non-resident alien in the year of 2019 so technically I was not qualified for the first two stimulus checks, but I became a resident alien in the year of 2020 so this year I will be qualified for the third check. When I file my tax for 2020 in turbo tax the system keeps adding the two stimulus checks to my return. The only two options seem to be you either claim you received the first two checks, or you didn't. Is there a way to tell the system I am not qualified for the first two checks but will be qualified for the third? I have tried to delete the stimulus calculation form but it keeps showing up again.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

The way the law is written, if you have a valid social security number when you file your 2020 tax return, you are eligible for the rebate, even if you weren't eligible for a stimulus payment based on your 2019 information.
