Need help with repayment of first time homebuyer credit

If you need to know how to enter it in TurboTax.

To enter the First Time Homebuyer's Credit:

1. Click on "Federal Taxes"
2. Go to "Deductions & Credits" 
3. Scroll down to "Your Home" click "show More" to the right
4. Click on "Start" next to "Homebuyer Credit Repayment"

If you are looking for something else please be a little bit more specific as to exactly what it is you need assistance with.

I sold my home in 2016 which resulted in a gain and I believe I need to repay the remaining balance on my Homebuyer Credit.  When I choose the second bullet (Yes, but the home we received the credit for stopped being our main home on or before December 31, 2016), It removes the form 5405.  How can I get this back and repay the remaining balance on my Homebuyer credit?

Yes.  See the answer above.  You can find it at the very bottom of the "Deductions & Credits" section under a link called something like "Find Additional Deductions" which should expand a new box.  Then click something like "Don't Guide Me", then "Your Home".
